About Ruth

Hi, I’m Ruth, a psychotherapist in training (MA / level 7). Originally from the North-West of England, I’ve been based in London for over 15 years, working in healthcare policy, patient advocacy and communications. My work is particularly focused on understanding the factors that can shape our beliefs and behaviours, and exploring the intersections of our identities, experiences and emotions – everything that makes us, us.

Area of Focus

My experience to date includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, low self-worth, workplace stress and burnout and undergoing challenging health diagnoses. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am available for sessions held online or face-to-face.

What to Expect

The relationship between you and your therapist is at the heart of any therapeutic work; therefore, above all, I aim to create a warm and collaborative space where you feel able and safe to be fully yourself, free from expectation, pressure or judgement. You are welcome just as you are right now. In our first meeting, we’ll discuss what has brought you to therapy, and there will be plenty of chance for you to ask any questions you may have about working together. From there, we can explore what support feels right for you at this time. I know starting therapy can feel daunting, so I want to reassure you that we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
