About Miriam

Hello, my name is Miriam and I am completing the final year of my MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University London. Alongside my training, I have experience providing therapy in other therapeutic settings, including a charity offering short-term NHS talking therapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their ethical framework. Please note that I am currently offering online sessions only.

Area of Focus

My practice is neurodiversity-affirming, disability-affirming, and LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds. I have worked with adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, grief and loss, and times of transition or uncertainty. I also support clients living with disability or chronic illness, including those navigating fluctuating health, access barriers, and the emotional impact of long-term conditions. As someone of mixed heritage (Chinese/British), I particularly welcome clients who wish to speak with someone who understands the experience of feeling rooted in two cultures, and at times, not fully belonging to either.

What to Expect

I believe everyone deserves a space where they can speak freely, be listened to with compassion, and feel understood without judgment. My priority is to offer a calm, supportive presence where you can bring whatever feels important, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, curious, or simply wanting space to reflect. Therapy can help us make sense of our past and present experiences, understand patterns that might feel confusing or painful, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been overlooked. I aim to meet you exactly where you are, at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
