About Mark

Hello, I’m Mark. I am a trainee therapist, studying at CPPD, a leading centre in humanistic integrative counselling. I’m a student member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, abiding by their ethical code of practice, which ensures that you will be well cared for. Previously I had a long and rewarding career in international development, living in Peru, India and Thailand, and working with people from diverse backgrounds, on programmes and projects that have helped people improve their lives.

Area of Focus

I have an interest in working with people looking to cope better with stress; with anxiety or depression in their many forms; those with self-esteem or relationship problems; and those seeking more meaning and fulfilment in their lives, perhaps at moments of transition. I also work with those dealing with trauma, addiction, grief and other mental challenges.

What to Expect

I will provide a warm, safe, non-judgmental environment and a relationship that is based on empathy, curiosity and positive support. We would work together on whatever issues are confronting you, past, present or future, and what it is that you want to change, moving at the pace that you find comfortable. I will hold you in deep respect as a unique individual, and the therapeutic approach will be adjusted and attuned to your specific needs. But at the heart of this will be a warm, empathetic, supportive relationship.

Let's Connect

I offer counselling for adults, both online and face to face. If you are interested and feel I am right for you, please do get in touch. Best wishes, Mark
