About Marion

Hello and thank you for looking at my profile. I am a trainee therapist on a postgraduate psychodynamic studies programme. I grew up in a context rich in intersectionality, and have a deep respect for who each of us uniquely is as well as the various contexts that shape individual experience. My counselling work builds on my experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds facing a range of life’s challenges, including asylum seekers and refugees, workers experiencing discrimination and workplace issues, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community navigating identity, wellbeing and relationships.

Area of Focus

My focus will be on what feels pertinent to you. In broad terms, I hope to offer support in areas such as: low mood, anxiety, shame, cultural issues, gender, sexuality, self-esteem, otherness and displacement, identity, family dynamics, relationships, transitions, work-related issues, personal development.

What to Expect

I offer a gentle, safe environment, a space in which you can feel free to unfold and be. Sessions are non-directive; I will be guided by what you wish to share and what comes up, and we may explore what sits below the surface and help you develop new insights. My style is warm, relational and exploratory.
