Malcolm Milner
Counsellor
Hello! I’m Malcolm, I am a trainee counsellor and have been studying for 4 years. I strongly believe that people have the capacity to make choices and change their lives and having access to counselling can support that change. I am neurodivergent and have lived experience of dyslexia and dyspraxia and work to support people who struggle to be heard. For the last 20 years, I have been working to support people who are facing challenging circumstances.
What we think is going on is not necessarily what’s really going on. What you bring to each session may change from week to week, it may not. Anger, frustration, sadness and anxiety come from many places. Together we look and listen for what’s there and consider how to address issues that could be causing you difficulties.
No one is defined by a single experience. We are each affected by our past, present and future, how we see the world and how the world sees us. By exploring what’s going on for you in the present or “here and now”, together we can understand what may be happening and what you would like to do about it Or perhaps you just need to talk to someone who will listen.
I can work in-person, online and by phone and I’d love to hear from you!
