About Lyrit

Hi, my name is Lyrit, and I am a trainee counsellor working towards my professional qualification at the Minster Centre in London. With a background in the arts—particularly music—I’ve had the privilege of travelling internationally to perform, teach, and lead workshops. These experiences have shaped my therapeutic approach, making it creative, adaptable, and responsive to each individual. Originally from Canada, I have lived in the UK for 18 years, so I understand the challenges of adapting to a new place and culture. I am a student member of the BACP and work in accordance with their code of ethics.

Area of Focus

There is nothing too big or too small to bring to therapy. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, grief, loss, anger, relationship difficulties, changes in mood, addiction, dreams, identity, a diagnosis etc—nothing is off limits. Whatever you bring, I will aim to be alongside you in it.

What to Expect

Therapy is about you and whatever you want it to be. People often come to it with the idea that it’s about being fixed, but I see it more as a collaboration that allows space for exploration and understanding. I believe the relationship between myself and my client is at the heart of the work, and you can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where we can explore whatever is weighing on you—no matter how large or small.

Let's Connect

I understand that taking the first step into therapy can feel difficult, but from my own experience, it is also deeply worthwhile. If you feel ready to begin this journey of growth and self-discovery, I invite you to reach out so we can explore how to work towards your goals together. I offer sessions in person, with some online availability.
