Louise Palmer
Counsellor

I’m Lou. I am a trainee counsellor studying for my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I work in the charity sector, with older adults and have supported people with mental health problems to utilise their lived experience to improve treatment and care. I am a reflective practice facilitator with highly developed listening skills and lots of empathy! I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy and so work within their ethical framework.

I have an interest in working with people needing support with relationships, be that partners or families. I can support people with anxiety, depression or low levels of confidence. I am open to working with anyone who simply needs time and space for themselves to be supported through whatever challenges they may face.

I have a warm and friendly approach and will create a safe and non-judgemental space in which you feel able to bring whatever you need, to therapy. Building trust and allowing clients to be themselves is at the core of counselling being effective. We will start by building that trust and exploring together what has brought you here.

If you feel I might be what you’re looking for, please get in touch. We can find a time to have an initial session and explore how we could work together.
