Charlie Taylor
Counsellor
Hello, I’m Charlie. I’m a trainee counsellor studying at the University of Salford with a student membership for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), meaning I work within their ethical framework. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I aim to provide a gender-inclusive and queer-friendly space for all my clients. Alongside my training, I work as a private tutor with SEND children and their parents, helping them achieve their best out of education.
Drawing on my background supporting children with SEND, I am particularly interested I working with neurodivergent clients. I also welcome clients that are members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma and identity issues.
Starting therapy can be daunting. As a client myself, I know how scary it can be to start to open up to someone new about what’s going on in your life. Within your sessions, we will work at your pace, I am here to sit alongside you to help you name and claim those feelings that may be causing you distress. Fundamentally, I believe you are the expert of your life, so I invite you to be fully yourself in your sessions and hopefully we can start to make sense of your experiences in a safe way that you are comfortable with.
Taking that first step into counselling can make you feel especially vulnerable. If you feel that I may be the right fit for you, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and working together.
