About Amelia

Hi, I’m Amelia. I’m a trainee psychotherapist at the UKCP-accredited Ellesmere Centre in Hull, but I am based near Leeds. My journey to working within mental health began many years ago with personal experience and a drive to support others. Before my training, I have spent over six years working in the charity sector with people going through all kinds of challenges - from trauma and grief, to identity shifts, anxiety, and relationship struggles.

Area of Focus

I have experience supporting people with anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship issues, neurodivergence, and the emotional impact of long-term health conditions. However, I am open to whatever you bring into the room with me - we will explore together.

What to Expect

My aim is to create a space that feels warm, safe and supportive. You don’t need to have the “right” words, or a really clear goal - we can figure things out together. I show up with warmth, honesty, and curiosity, and I believe that the relationship between us is an extremely important part of the process.

Let's Connect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it’s completely normal to feel unsure. But it can also be the start of something really meaningful. If you're curious, feel free to reach out and book an intro chat. We can see if it feels like the right fit for you.
